UX/UI Redesign for an AI-Powered Learning Management System

UniBot had the functionality. Admins, teachers, and students were already using it to manage complex educational workflows — dashboards, analytics, scheduling, progress tracking. What the platform lacked was an interface that matched the intelligence of the system underneath. Navigation was unclear, data-heavy screens were hard to scan, and switching between roles felt inconsistent.

The redesign covered the entire platform across all three user roles. Each role interacts with the system differently — admins monitor institutional data, teachers manage course workflows, students track their own progress — so the challenge was building one coherent UI system that still felt tailored to each.

We started with information hierarchy. Instead of presenting everything at once, dashboards were restructured around priority: key metrics surface first, secondary data groups clearly below. Sidebar navigation was simplified and made predictable. Typography, spacing, and content block segmentation were refined throughout to reduce cognitive load and make analytical information readable at a glance.

A dark theme was introduced as a functional decision — reducing visual fatigue during long sessions and reinforcing the platform's AI-driven positioning. Light and dark variants share the same underlying system, maintaining consistency across both.

The result is a platform that feels as structured as the logic behind it. Admins move through data faster, teachers navigate their workflows without friction, and students have a clearer view of their own progress.
