Caregiver's Coach

Caregiving is one of the most demanding roles a person can take on — and most of the tools built to support it feel like they were designed for a hospital administration system, not a person managing a parent's health at 11pm. Caregiver's Coach is an AI-powered mobile app that provides real-time guidance, health monitoring, and on-demand support to caregivers. The design needed to match the emotional register of its users: calm, clear, and immediately useful.

We started with a UX audit: mapping competitor apps, analyzing user personas, and identifying where existing caregiving tools were failing the people actually using them. That research shaped the feature prioritization and set the direction for everything that followed — what to surface first, what to simplify, and where the interface needed to get out of the way entirely.

Two distinct design directions were developed for client review — different visual approaches that both met the core UX requirements, giving the client a genuine choice rather than a single direction to accept or reject. The selected style was then carried through into full high-fidelity UI design: polished visuals, consistent component behavior, and a brand identity that holds across every screen in the app.

The interface prioritizes real-time access above everything else. AI-driven recommendations, health monitoring data, and support tools are reachable without navigating through multiple layers. For a caregiver mid-task, the difference between two taps and five taps is significant — the information architecture was designed with that friction in mind throughout.

App store previews were produced alongside the UI work, showcasing the core functionality and visual system for acquisition. A comprehensive UI kit was compiled and delivered to support consistency across future design iterations and development handoff.
