UX/UI Design for an AI Interview Coaching Platform

Nepotize helps students prepare for finance interviews through AI-powered simulations and structured feedback. The product sits at an uncomfortable intersection for design: it needs to feel as credible as Bloomberg, but as engaging as a learning tool people actually return to. Too clinical and it loses the habit-forming quality. Too playful and it loses the audience entirely.

The scope covered two connected surfaces: the platform itself and the landing page built to convert the target audience — finance students in the US and Singapore aiming for competitive roles. Both needed to tell the same story with the same visual language, so the transition from landing page to product felt seamless rather than jarring.

The platform UX was structured around three core flows: onboarding, interview simulation, and feedback review. Onboarding moves quickly — students arrive with a clear goal, and the product gets them into their first session without unnecessary steps. The dashboard gives a clear view of progress and next actions without overwhelming a first-time user.

The AI chat interface — where the actual interview simulation happens — received the most attention. It's the core interaction, and it needed to feel like a real exchange: structured, responsive, and serious. AI feedback is delivered in a format that's easy to parse and act on, not a wall of generated text.

The visual direction stays minimal and restrained throughout. Blue, white, and black. Strong typographic hierarchy. Structured layouts with no decorative noise. Subtle micro-interactions add responsiveness without softening the product's professional register.

The landing page was built around conversion logic: a hero with dynamic messaging, product explanation broken into digestible blocks, a demo section, trust indicators, and pricing — each section doing a specific job in moving a skeptical, high-expectation audience toward sign-up.
