**What is an MVP?** A minimum viable product is the smallest version of your product that can go in front of real users and tell you something true. Not a demo and not a clickable prototype — a working thing, deliberately small. - **How do you decide what goes into version one?** Pick the one feature your product would be pointless without, then add at most one or two more, and only ones that are cheap to build. Test every candidate with one question: if we removed this feature, would the product still answer the question we are trying to answer? If yes, it does not belong in version one. - **How should a founder split the budget between design and development?** There is no correct ratio — it depends on who you sell to and where the money comes from. What matters is deciding the split deliberately before commissioning either side. Get development estimates at the same time as design estimates, ask a developer for work they only built rather than designed, and send references for the quality you expect. - **Why is go-to-market a design problem?** If you do not know how users will arrive, you cannot design what happens when they do. The path from the ad to the moment they pay has to be designed as one continuous thing. When it is not, traffic arrives and nothing catches it: you have paid for the click and lost the user in the first thirty seconds. - **What should you ask a development team at kickoff?** If we add a second user type, or a second country, in six months — what has to be rebuilt? The technical architecture and the design system are both decided at the start and both invisible to you as a client. They are the reason one team can add a feature in a week and another needs two months. - **What do investors check in an early product?** Whether it is scalable — whether it can grow much faster than the cost of running it. Either the problem is large enough that a great many people have it, or the problem itself grows as customers need more over time. ## How we work - **Do you design and build?** We can do both. Depending on the project, we handle UX/UI, design systems, Framer or web builds, implementation support, and collaboration with your developers. - **No clear brief yet?** That’s exactly where we’re useful. We can start with strategy, audits, product framing, user flows, and a practical roadmap before design or development begins. - **Can you help with AI?** Yes. We use AI-native workflows for faster product decisions, Cursor-ready build support, content generation systems, product copy, and structured prototypes without lowering the craft bar. - **Do you consult?** Yes. If you’re not ready for a full project, we can help pressure-test positioning, feature scope, launch pages, user flows, or the next move for your product. - **Who is the best fit?** Founders, SaaS and platform teams, e-commerce brands, and product teams that need more than screens: strategy, design, build support, and launch clarity. - **Can you work with devs?** Absolutely. We can lead the product/design side, prepare build-ready systems, collaborate async with engineers, or support implementation directly when needed. - **After launch too?** Yes. We can stay involved for iterations, new features, content updates, conversion improvements, product audits, or ongoing design and development support. ## Pages - [Home](https://www.theash.design/): services, selected work, testimonials and FAQ - [Work](https://www.theash.design/work): all case studies - [Blog](https://www.theash.design/blog): notes on branding, product, UX/UI and AI workflows - [About](https://www.theash.design/about): team, process and how engagements run - [Privacy policy](https://www.theash.design/privacy-policy): Privacy policy - [Terms of use](https://www.theash.design/terms-of-use): Terms of use ## Elsewhere - [Clutch](https://clutch.co/profile/ash-design): 14 verified client reviews, 4.9/5 - [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/theash.design): Client reviews - [Dribbble](https://dribbble.com/theashdesign): Design shots and shipped work - [Behance](https://www.behance.net/theashdesign): Long-form case studies - [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/theashdesign/): Company updates - [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/theash.design/): Studio work and process
